Bollywood Walks for Rural India

Mumbai, March 26(ANI): The Day 5 of Lakme India Fashion Week Summer Resort 2013 saw the presence of around 30 Bollywood celebrities walking the ramp for Vikram Phadnis special collection dedicated to the Rural India. Vikram's collection was in collaboration with the Swadesh Foundation an NGO by Ronnie and Zarina Screwala working for the empowerment of rural India.Walking the ramp were celebrities like Ashutosh Gowariker, Anurag Basu, Ekta Kapoor, Jitendra, Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar, Kunal Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Poonam Sinha, Vaibhavi Merchant, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan, Farah Khan, Rohit Bal, Dia Mirza, Sushant Singh Rajput, Juhi Chawla among others. Going by the theme "A Celebration of Rural India", his collection had rural touch to all the garments that included cotton sarees with embroideries, salwar kameez, khadi kurtas, sherwanis for men and subtle yet graceful lehengas.
